What do you think about this Google Chrome Advert? It was produced by their Google Japan Team. Do you think sends out the right message? If you didnt know what Google Chrome was do you think you would understand what this advert is about?!

Have to agree in saying that the ad tells nothing to laypeople about what the product is. Anyone who knows what Google Chrome is or who will install it on their own already knows whether they want to use it or not.

That said, the ad is neat and all. Maybe just a blub at the end saying what it is?

Developing a browser costs a lot of energy and resources, just look at Mozilla or Microsoft (needs constant improvement, always some bugs or security issues to iron out).

If Google wants to become one of the big players in the browser market, they need to do a LOT more than what they currently do for Chrome. But considering that they just closed down a few of their not so profitable services, and reading that as a sign of conserving their energy/effort in risky new developments during this financially challenging time, I'd say that they are unwilling to put a LOT of new effort in the development of Chrome right now.

The campaign is to promote their image not inform the user of every minute detail. Most people wont need to know about all the details. The point of the add is to make people think its "cool" and want to find out more about it...most likely if the dont know what it is...they will just "google" it!

Surely no-one can expect a 30 second ad to explain everything.

well I tryed the google web browser and it rocks i visit a lot of sites with virus's for some reson and it help out there a lot lol
